This Privacy Policy explains the privacy policy of CTN Group registered in England as Corporate Television Networks Limited, whose registered address is 114 St. Martin’s Lane, London WC2N 4BE, England.

Client: If you are a client of CTN Group, we collect and process personal information in order to most effectively deliver the service that you have engaged us to do.

In this instance, we are collecting and processing your personal data using Legitimate Interests as the Legal Basis for Processing. We undertook a Legitimate Interests Assessment, and a Data Protection Impact Assessment prior to making this decision on the most suitable Legal Basis for Processing. This was done prior to the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation.

The Legitimate Interest is that we need to process data on you in order to effectively deliver the service you have contracted us to do. We are careful not to process any sensitive personal information, and restrict data processing to corporate/B2B data. We have determined in our Legitimate Interests Assessment that this data processing activity is very unlikely to have an adverse impact on your privacy.

Prospect: If you are a Prospect (a business that we believe is likely to benefit from the services of CTN Group), we may collect and process personal data on you as part of our efforts to sell, promote and market our services to you.

We undertook a Legitimate Interests Assessment, and a Data Protection Impact Assessment prior to making this decision on the most suitable Legal Basis for Processing. Supplier: If you are a supplier to CTN Group, we collect and process personal information as part of our contractual relationship with you.

How do we collect personal information from you?
Information may be collected in the following ways:-

  • Desk research – in this case only publicly available personal information is processed (eg. we may find and store information that you have posted on LinkedIn)

  • workplace address
  • written records/notes of conversations that you have had with our sales, research, and delivery teams

Keeping data we hold on you up to date
We endeavour to keep the information that we hold on you as up-to-date as possible, so have put in place a process to clean our data on a rolling cycle, with the help of third party specialist software providers and suppliers. Anonymous Visitor Statistics Cookies

5. Email marketing and newsletters

For companies that we believe are likely to be interested in our services, we may from time to time decide to send you information by email.

This may be in the form of our newsletter which could include examples of our work and our thinking around relevant topics that influence our industry.

We are careful to ensure that all email correspondence sent out by CTN Group includes a clear ‘unsubscribe’ link, and have a robust internal policy in place to deal with ‘unsubsribe’ requests we may receive from stakeholders.

6. Data security

All data held by CTN Group on its stakeholders and their associated activities, is located within an ISO 27001 certified data centre. This independently recognised standard for data security and management provides a high level of security for CTN Group and its stakeholders, in particular in relation to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data across the network. The organisation uses software countermeasures and management procedures to protect itself against the threat of malicious software. All staff are trained to co-operate with this policy.

We take daily fully encrypted backups of our data supported by Veeam software. The encryption extends to backups held, and also whilst data is in transit.

While we take reasonable steps to maintain secure internet connections, if you provide us with personal information over the internet, the provision of that information is at your own risk.

7. Retention of data

CTN Group may retain data for differing periods of time for different purposes as required by law or best practices. However, under no circumstances will we retain your personal data for a period of longer than five years (from the point of collection or updating) unless there is a critical business reason to do so (for example we may need to maintain records for longer than this for accounting reasons)

8. Links to other sites

Our websites may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that site. A common example is an embedded YouTube video.

Please note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party sites or services.

9. If you email us

We work closely with a third party IT support business to encrypt and protect email traffic in line with government advice.

We will also monitor any emails sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software. Please be aware you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send us is within the bounds of the law.

10. Personal information of children

Our activities do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take the necessary actions.
